Training Run – 8 Miles

I was only supposed to do 8 miles but I ended up doing 8.75.  Oops.  I tend to do that a lot.  I’d rather run more than I had to than run a shorter distance, really.  I just didn’t realize I overshot my distance that much.  I guess that’s what happens when you get lost in a new neighborhood.

It was an easy run for me.  I felt good and it was nice going at an easy pace that day (I ran this Thursday).  I ran it earlier than my usual weekend day because of my day shift and I have a few appointments this week on the days I off.  The weather was nice for once (i.e. I could run in short sleeves).  I was really tired, though, so I wasn’t feeling up to it that day.  I was glad I went for it, though, because I felt much better afterwards =). Funny how exercise does that…
